My journey of dance started at the age of ten when I attended two stage schools, Bush Davies & Elmhurst Ballet School. At seventeen I auditioned for The Place, London School of Contemporary dance. Being one of four chosen from eighty people auditioning I felt pretty confident, however at that audition they found I had a back problem. I was later told I couldn’t continue with my dance career. Although this was earth-shattering news it changed my direction & I began to explore movement as a healing path for myself & others.
I trained in Creative dance with Caroline Born (Anna Halprin method)
Authentic Movement, Contact improvisation, Rebirthing, Trance Dance
Creative writing, Grief Counselling, Co Counselling, Death doula.
I run death Cafe’s in my area.
Recently I have completed a 10 month online personal development training ‘Bring It’ with Jamie Catto.
I combine all these aspects together to bring my own unique eclectic blend of the embodied, somatic experience.
‘ Rebecca has this innate ability to read the moment and respond accordingly with just the right music to bring what I need to see to the surface. This, along with her gentle suggestions for enquiry through writing, make one of her sessions incredibly rich and tender. A way to make progress with those parts of me that have been hurting and need my loving attention. Rebecca is on my very short list of go to people when I need to work through something’ Helena Gore
