Our Philosophy
Cortijo Romero is a centre for holidays, in the original and full sense, embracing a journey, retreat from the everyday world, healing, restoration, celebration, learning and the expression of human potential, both individually and in community.
To this end, we offer a rich variety of personal development courses and other activities; peace and meditation; music, dance and other forms of celebration; excursions into nature and a tree planting project.
There are up to 20 course hours in a week, plus early morning yoga or tai chi, basic Spanish language tuition, and a session of expressive dance. Optional extras include a variety of massages, life coaching, and a Spanish song performance.
The centre itself plays a vital part. It is not an hotel but a special place dedicated to these activities, with beautiful buildings, pool, gardens and hidden spaces - all contained within magnificent mountains in one of Europe's most inspiring regions.
Experience the delights of the surroundings, with a course to help you appreciate them and to express all that is in you, facilitated by some of the finest group leaders from around the world. There is a lot on offer but most importantly, plenty of time to rest, swim, walk, talk, explore the area, meditate or just be, in this glorious and peaceful oasis. People tend to completely lose the urge to fill every moment with ceaseless doing as soon as they arrive here.
Above all, the staff of the centre, careful organisation and a highly supportive atmosphere make it possible to relax, let go, relish new experiences or challenges and often find new directions and joy in life.
