Move With Ease - The Feldenkrais® Method

"...to make the impossible possible, the possible easy and the easy elegant

From Saturday Oct 20, 2018 to Saturday Oct 27, 2018
Cost: £745.00
Availability: CALL

The Feldenkrais Method ® is a unique way to let go of old patterns, explore new ways of being and realise our potential more fully through gentle movement, suitable for all ages and abilities.

Group lessons and partner work develop and deepen awareness of how you are in your body, how you move, and what you find easy or challenging. From there, explore new movement patterns that may work better for you. Along the way, you may release muscle tension and stress, ease chronic pain, breathe more easily and feel more grounded and balanced.

The movements take place lying on the floor, sitting, standing and walking. Different areas and functions of the body are explored, including breathing, the shoulders, neck and upper body, the spine, hips, pelvis and limbs. Gentle touch is used as an aid to self-awareness.

"Movement is life. Life is a process. Improve the quality of the process and you improve the quality of life itself."

Course Leader

Tina Lehmbeck
Tinatrained in massage and deep bodywork at the Esalen Institute in California and as a Feldenkrais practitioner in the U.K. and Italy. She teaches in the U.K. and abroad, believing that everyone has the potential to move more easily and freely, whatever their starting point.

"The natural beauty of the area and the music and dance were moving while Cortijo itself and the warmth of the staff made it a wonderful wind down and letting go of a recent period of prolonged stress. It was life-enhancing!"
