Mindfulness has gained huge support over the past decade as research confirms how effective it can be for psychological wellbeing, for managing emotional distress, unhappiness, anxiety, depression, relationships and parenting - as well as assisting with physical health conditions such as stress, weight management and pain management. It is now also being used in the workplace for staff, including managers and leaders. Mindfulness builds resilience and resourcefulness and is fast becoming a necessary addition to our personal and professional development, and to our approach to life.
This is the complete mindfulness-based stress reduction programme (MBSR), equivalent to the standard 8-week course - with a great holiday as well! It includes guided practices and exercises to explore what it means to be mindful and to experience each moment of our lives. At the end, you will have sufficient knowledge and practice of mindfulness to take it forwards into your everyday life for your long-term well-being, and (if you wish) it may be applicable as a pre-cursor for further mindfulness-based training.
Alison is an experienced mindfulness and yoga teacher, and has completed a pioneering research PhD on mindfulness and its link to sustainability.
