Writing Your Own Memoir
How to start writing your life story
From Saturday Mar 10, 2018
to Saturday Mar 17, 2018
Writing your memoir can be a wonderfully fulfilling and healing process. Whether it is for yourself, your children, or grandchildren, for publication or self-publishing, a memoir helps make sense of things and offers an opportunity to reflect on the deeper meaning of your life.
In a safe, supportive, confidential space, you will explore your life in writing; find a voice, purpose, confidence and inspiration; tackle shape, structure and story-telling; practise dialogue (and humour!); consider spiritual and ethical issues; review your experiences in a new and uplifting way.
Rosie has been running writing workshops for over twenty years and is passionate about the healing power of the creative arts. She has taught at the Universities of East Anglia and West of England, trained in counselling, and run writing groups on Skyros, Greece and in community settings worldwide. Her spiritual life has taken her to India and a Sufi training in California. Widely published in poetry and prose, her own memoir 'The Glass Mother' (Unthank Books) came out in 2017.
