Rebecca Faro
My journey with creativity started seriously at the age of ten. Already passionately aware that I wanted to be a dancer, I attended two highly acclaimed stage schools; Bush Davies and Elmhurst Ballet.
At the age of seventeen I auditioned for The Place, London School of Contemporary Dance and was one of four chosen from eighty people. Just as this inspired my confidence, life had another plan. A serious back problem was diagnosed, crushing my dreams when I was told I couldn’t continue with my dance career.
This was earth-shattering news, and although I sunk into feelings of hopelessness and depression, inside I knew I still had to dance and to be creative. That became my focus and the beginning of my exploration to find different ways of moving. Looking inside myself, and learning to move from the inside out has helped me profoundly.
I've also always loved expressive writing and have been writing since I was very young. Writing, theatre, drama, and improv have always been in the centre of my life. I've done many performances internationally and am currently part of a cabaret group in the Alpujarras that performs at weddings, festivals and other special occasions in Spain.
I combine my unique eclectic blend of the embodied and theatrical experience to help inspire my participants. Supporting them to get in touch with their own creativity and talents in both a deep and lighthearted way.
