The challenges of the past few years may have left many of us holding more
tension than we once did, feeling less relaxed and fluid in our bodies and
minds.
The Feldenkrais Method ® is a unique way to let go of old patterns, to explore
new ways of moving and being in order to realise our potential more fully, through gentle
movement and directed attention. It is suitable for all ages and abilities.
Group lessons and partner-work develop and deepen awareness of how you are in
your body, how you move, and what you find easy or challenging. From there, we
explore new movement patterns that may help you release muscle tension and
stress, ease chronic pain, breathe more easily and feel more grounded and
balanced.
The movements take place lying down, sitting, standing and walking. Different
areas and functions of the body are explored, including breathing, the
shoulders, neck and upper body, the spine, hips, pelvis and limbs. Gentle touch
aids self-awareness.
