Most often the body becomes less flexible and our range of movement decreases as we age; therefore a simple daily exercise routine is required to move with ease and keep agile.
The eight brocades of silk
are a simple set of Qigong exercises that have been used for 2000 years in China. They are so effective that the famous Chinese hero General Yue Fei got his entire army to practice them daily to help keep their bodies strong and well-prepared for battle. It takes about 12 mins to do them. They energize a person, bringing greater flexibility to the body and increased flow in our energy. We will also explore other joint opening exercises, movement forms, standing and sitting postures.
The three steps
is a technique that will deepen your meditation, help you become embodied and shift long standing difficult patterns of emotion, behavior and thinking. It is a simple yet powerful way of working with the nervous system and experience the body’s self-regulating forces in action. Self-regulation is the key to health, wellbeing and to healing the symptoms of stress, so you can become aware of the stillness and silence within.
The Hara Health Exercises
are a profoundly transformative way of releasing mental, emotional and physical tension, and for many people it is a unique and timeless experience.
Nature has instilled in us an amazing nervous system capable of restoring health and wellbeing. When these self-regulating mechanisms are blocked or compromised, tension and trauma symptoms develop and we get stuck in a negative spiral of stress, tension and ill health.
Everyone, from small children to the elderly can benefit from The Hara Health Exercises.
Often after people do the exercises for the first time they have a really deep sleep
(as the nervous system begins to reset). After a few days most people report an increase in their energy levels and a greater capacity to rest and recharge.
One of the most important elements in having health and wellbeing is our ability to rest, to sleep and recharge. The Hara health exercises help those who are hyped up to calm down, enabling them to rest and recharge. For those who are lethargic and sluggish, the exercises help them to mobilize and energise.
An added benefit of these exercises is they have a way of fine-tuning the human organism, so can help athletes to improve their performance and go to the next level. Dancers, martial artists, sports people, yoga teachers, students, and executives can all benefit in many ways.
Healing our heart and becoming aware once again of its tones and textures is essential to our health and wellbeing. Opening to our heart brings us new possibilities to live life in a new way where love, joy and gratitude are everyday experiences.
