Playback Theatre is an internationally recognised form of spontaneous theatre that uses our own real life experiences, feelings and stories to create art and share our common humanity.
Theatre games and exercises help us open our voices and bodies, sharpen our senses and free our spontaneity. In this playful and fun atmosphere we’ll build a close group connectedness and learn to trust our creative impulses, both individually and as an ensemble.
We’ll create a safe and vibrant space in which to learn the Playback Theatre forms and use them to bring our stories to life – with a strongly supportive atmosphere for you to take risks and play at the edge of your creative aliveness.
The course will enable you to see things afresh and step into new territory in your life.
Based in Totnes Devon, Amanda Brown and Alison Fairlove are Artistic Directors of Playback Theatre South West, a charity that uses theatre to explore people’s stories and life experiences. Amanda has a background in choreography, dance and education; Alison’s is in theatre, education and counselling.
