Recommendation for a hotel in Malaga that's very close to the city centre, within easy walking
distance of the Cathedral, Picasso Museum etc.

HOTEL VENECIA
Alameda Principal 9
29001 Malaga
www.hotelveneciamalaga.com

Probably cheaper if booked through www.booking.com - cost recently was 40 Euros room only. Clean, nice, helpful staff.

If you need to book a room at Hotel Marina Sur at the start or end of your holiday, we've just discovered that it's likely to be significantly cheaper for you to make the booking online at www.booking.com rather than ask us to do it for you. One recent example resulted in the astute traveller saving 34 Euros on a one night stay!

Many people have commented on the beauty of the "orange tree", or more accurately, the tree with orange flowers - North of Room 12 and West of Room 11. One of our regular guests brought it to the attention of a botanist at Reading University who informed us that it's quite special being a Grevillea robusta, an Australian silky oak, native of Queensland & New South Wales and the best specimen he's seen in Spain in 20 years. Does anyone have a photo of it they can post up here?
