About ten hours of this week's group time will be led by Amanda, with a daily gathering to connect with each other and guide the programme. A mistress of improvisation, she will draw on her experience of a wide range of activities with creativity and imagination at their heart. These can include movement; story-telling; poetry and creative writing; singing and creative dance; exercise and relaxation; chanting and meditation; contact improvisation; and making collective art. The content of sessions will be determined by the needs of the group, with plenty of time for reflection and personal choice.

As well as our standard short sessions of yoga or tai chi, song and dance, local staff will offer a variety of extra sessions to explore further.

Except for the opening and closing sessions, all are optional.

Amanda Brown (Stern)
Amanda Brown is a professional dancer and choreographer, Playback Theatre practitioner and experienced group leader. She is the artistic director for Mirror Mirror Playback Theatre Company and Tarte Noire Women’s Playback Theatre, as well as a lead artist for Moveable Feast Workshop Company – a collaborative participatory arts collective, based in Devon.
